Weade Wallace

Weadé Wallace is the Executive Director at Advocates for Justice and Education, Inc., (AJE), a non-profit organization and the federally designated Parent Training and Information Center for the District of Columbia, dedicated to the education, support and free legal representation of D.C. families with special needs children. She has been with the agency for seven years, most recently as the Deputy Director where she managed the four core components of AJE's mission: Community Education, Direct Advocacy, Peer to Peer Engagement, and Training and Information. Ms. Wallace has an extensive background in leading programs that provide direct services and supports to underserved communities. She has served on many boards and committees in the District including the D.C. State Rehabilitation Council and the D.C. Inclusive Schools Week Committee. She is currently a board member for the Arlington Partnership for Children Youth and Families (APCYF), in Arlington, Virginia. Ms. Wallace holds a Bachelor's degree in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Policy from Howard University. She is also a graduate of the Education Policy and Fellowship Program (EPFP) at the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL).
