Ron Roberts

ARon Roberts is a senior investigator on the special education complaints team for the Division of Federal and State Education Policy at the Texas Education Agency. As a parent of a son with a disability, Ron has been actively involved with disability issues since 1992. From 1992 to 1998 Ron served as the director for the state school’s community outreach program serving adults with intellectual disabilities in Llano and New Braunfels, Texas. Ron is a 1996 graduate of Partners in Policymaking, a leadership program for parents of children with disabilities funded by the Texas Council on Developmental Disabilities. In 2004, Ron served as the director of the Parent Alliance for Learning and Support (PALS) at Brighton School in San Antonio, Texas. PALS provided training and support to parents of young children with disabilities entering the early childhood intervention program funded under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
