Priscilla Cuba

Priscilla has worked for the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) as a Bilingual Parent Mentor for the last 7 years. Priscilla has presented statewide, regionally, and locally over the years on the Parent Mentor Project, including the Great Lakes Effective Schools Conference, the Midwest Principals’ Conference, Illinois Statewide Summit for Bilingual Parents 2009–2011, and Illinois NCLB Conferences 2008-2011. Priscilla is a member of Statewide Parent Educators Partnership (PEP) and was appointed as a member of the Illinois Parental Leadership Council by Governor Rod Blagojevich. She has worked with parents of children with disabilities since 1986 in workshops, moms groups, parent/teacher committees, and as a school volunteer. Priscilla was trained in Puerto Rico, Florida, Illinois, Boston, Texas, and California. She has devoted the past two decades pursuing appropriate specialized programs for students with disabilities in Lake County, IL.
