Mary Anne Fleury

Mary Anne Fleury, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Special Education at Black Hills State University. Previously, she was the Alternative Dispute Resolution Specialist in the Exceptional Student Services Unit at the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).  She was also an MTSS Implementation Consultant for the CDE, as well as an instructor at the University of Northern Colorado.  She was a Director of Exceptional Student Services for 7 years in Lewis-Palmer School District in Monument, CO, and previously taught special and general education.  Her passion for alternative dispute resolution began in 1995, when she founded a non-profit organization that provided education, information, and advocacy for parents and educators of children with disabilities.  She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Northern Colorado in Special Education with a minor in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
