Kathy Clayton

Kathy, a lifelong educator, is a co-founder and consultant with Ed21 Consulting Services.  Kathy began her career as a speech-language pathologist which afforded the opportunity to work with young children and their families in home settings. This experience forever changed the way she viewed the role of parent’s involvement in their children’s learning. She carried this viewpoint into her teaching career which included working with children and young adults from birth through existing the school system. Her experience includes work in multiple school districts and twenty years at the Texas Education Agency the last five years as State Director of Special Education.  Kathy currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for the National Center for Appropriate Dispute Resolution in Special Education (CADRE).
