Dr. Geralynn Olvey is a newly retired Executive Director of Special Education from the Colorado Springs District 11. She has worked in the field of Special Education within K-12 public schools for many years in a variety of roles. For the past several years, she has served on the Colorado Department of Education's Alternative Dispute Resolution Advisory Board. She has also served on the board of the PEAK Parent Center, Colorado’s Parent Training and Information Center, since 2004, and is active on many committees throughout the state. She has a B.A. in Elementary Education, two Master's degrees in Special Education (Learning Disabilities, and Deaf and Hard of Hearing). She completed her doctoral degree in Special Education at the University of Northern Colorado.
