Gbenimah Slopadoe is a Program Specialist within the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), Monitoring and State Improvement Planning (MSIP) Division at the USDOE. Gbenimah serves as State lead for four states and expert in IDEA dispute resolution across OSEP. While at OSEP, he has provided technical assistance to OSEP state leads and corresponding assigned states on many complex issues arising under IDEA dispute resolution. He has presented at national conferences including NASDSE and maintains consistent collaboration with technical assistance centers including CADRE. Prior to joining OSEP, Gbenimah worked for several large charter school networks in Washington DC where he directed the charter management company’s IDEA compliance and dispute resolution activities and supported school administrators in development and oversight of special education programs. He received his master’s in special education from George Mason University and and law degree from the American University Washington College of Law.
