Fran is an associate policy scientist, working in the Conflict Resolution Program at the University of Delaware for 15 years.
Besides being a trainer, presenter and workshop facilitator in the areas of effective communication, conflict resolution, strategic planning, collaborative problem-solving, meeting facilitation and team development, Fran also manages Delaware’s statewide special education mediation system.
She is the coordinator of the longest running IEP meeting-facilitation system in the country and has trained IEP facilitators in 17 states.
She is a five-time presenter for CADRE and during the fifth symposium held in 2011, Fran was interviewed for her views on IEP meeting-facilitation strategies and the transcripts remain published on CADRE’s website.
She has been quoted in the national publications, IDEA Compliance Alert, a monthly publication dedicated to IDEA Regulation, IEP Strategies and Effective Special Education Interventions and LRP Spec Ed Connections newsletter in the article “Create More Personable Environment for Parents in IEP Meetings”.
She has been requested to speak at special education conferences in VA, TN, PA, Washington DC, MA, CT and Idaho and has presented at the annual Inter-American Summit on Conflict Resolution Education.
