Dr. Angie Balsley is the President-Elect of the Indiana Council for Administrators of Special Education and the Executive Director of Earlywood Education Services, a special education cooperative serving six school districts in central Indiana. Angie’s dissertation through Indiana University focused on special education dispute resolution; she is currently working on publishing her research findings. Angie was a member of Indiana’s legislated Education Dispute Resolution Workgroup and continues to lead ICASE’s Dispute Resolution Committee. She has presented locally and national about special education dispute resolution. Angie taught students with significant disabilities for nine years and has been a director of special education for thirteen years. She is the family member of an individual with disabilities, worked in group home settings, and worked seven summers at a camp for individuals with disabilities. Angie is passionate about both the interactive and collaborative processes intended in IDEA and in alternative dispute resolution.
