Deborah Badawi, M.D. is a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician associated with the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Her clinical work includes evaluation and management of children with a variety of developmental disabilities as well as consultation on multidisciplinary teams in the school system and in health care settings. Her policy work focuses on improving the system of care for children with special health care needs, and consequently for all children, their caregivers and their health care providers. She has overseen numerous federal and state projects. Dr. Badawi is the current president of the Maryland chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
