Everyone approaches communication and conflict in ways that are shaped by their personality, experiences, and backgrounds. Effective communicators must recognize these differences to build understanding, reduce tension, and guide interactions toward collaboration. This workshop provides participants with tools to identify and adapt to a variety of communication and conflict styles. Through discussion, self-reflection, and interactive practice, participants will explore how differing approaches to expressing ideas, handling disagreement, and managing stress can impact our conflict engagement choices. Strategies for bridging communication gaps, preventing escalation, and fostering constructive dialogue will be emphasized. In this workshop we’ll explore a variety of communication and conflict styles; explore how style differences influence our interactions; and learn strategies for adapting to diverse styles. By the end of this workshop, participants will gain practical strategies for fostering inclusive dialogue, reducing miscommunication, and moving toward stronger, more collaborative outcomes.
