We’re often surprised by conflict, but disputes can arise anytime people care deeply yet think differently. Poorly managed conflict can feel like being stuck in a cycle with no way forward—but there are proven techniques to transform conflict into an opportunity for growth. This workshop introduces participants to essential skills for productively engaging with conflict in ways that build understanding and strengthen relationships. Through discussion, reflection, and practical strategies, participants will learn how to identify challenges, reframe perspectives, and find opportunities within moments of tension. Key insights and techniques will be shared to help participants shift from viewing conflict as an obstacle to seeing it as a tool for deeper collaboration and problem-solving. Learning how to see opportunities in conflict by identifying the interests of the parties and using those to develop creative and lasting solutions. By the end of this session, participants will recognize common patterns of conflict and their impact on relationships; apply practical strategies for reframing and engaging conflict productively; develop skills to turn difficult interactions into opportunities for stronger connections; and gain familiarity with CADRE resources to enhance conflict engagement practices.
