Through a blend of conceptual foundations and applied practices, participants will explore the intersection of disability awareness, process leadership, and inclusive facilitation techniques. Participants will examine common myths and misconceptions about disability, while building a realistic and respectful understanding of lived experiences; explore approaches to anticipate communication barriers and proactively create accessible, inclusive environments for all participants; understand the unique responsibilities of third-party neutral in shaping inclusive proceedings, setting the tone, and modeling best practices in communication, and apply learned concepts to real-world scenarios through case studies, role-play, and problem-solving exercises that reinforce effective facilitation skills. Participants will leave with a deeper awareness of disability-related issues, enhanced communication skills, and concrete tools for ensuring fairness, accessibility, and respect in proceedings.
